Appraise MAT enrollment for women who use drugs in Nairobi clinics relative to estimates of Nairobi County, Kenya.
Describe MAT retention of women who use drugs in two Nairobi MAT clinics.
Explain attrition outcomes of women who use drugs in Nairobi MAT clinics.
Presentation Summary: The prevalence of HIV among women who inject drugs in Kenya is estimated at 10% compared to 5.% in the general population. As at March 2020, a total of 2127 clients were enrolled in the Nairobi Medically Assisted Therapy (MAT) Programs that provide harm reduction serviced for People Who Use Drugs. Women comprised 10% of this proportion. This presentation will describe treatment outcomes of the 212 women who were enrolled into the program between December 2014 and March 2020 with the primary outcome being retention to the MAT program.
