Presentation Summary: The Maryland Addiction Consultation Service (MACS), an access program model, launched individualized Technical Assistance services in July 2019 to provide personalized addiction medicine mentorship to practitioners looking to implement office-based prescribing of buprenorphine. While 76% of TA requests could be concluded in the primary stage of a standard phone consultation, 24% were triaged to a secondary level of ongoing TA mentorship. Early implementation outcomes of TA services have illustrated that TA implementation is a viable solution in increasing access to quality SUD treatment and reducing treatment gaps. Future directions include an evaluation of TA services on practices’ buprenorphine capacity.
