Presentation Summary: Maryland Addiction Consultation Service (MACS) adopted the Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) model in 2020 to connect Maryland primary care providers with addiction medicine specialists with aims to expand access to high quality treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD). Employing quantitative and qualitative methods, an evaluation of MACS TeleECHO clinics revealed an increase in provider’s perceived confidence in treating their patients with OUD and an attitude change in the way that providers view their patients with OUD. The MACS TeleECHO clinics improve access to quality OUD care by disseminating best practices in addiction medicine and reducing provider stigma.
