I3141: Using Motivational Interviewing To Prevent Tooth Decay and Obesity

Faculty will address early childhood parenting challenges that cause caries and obesity, including extended bottle use and frequent sugary snacks and drinks, and why caregivers may not respond to anticipatory guidance. Participants will learn about motivational interviewing theory and evidence-based techniques to improve parenting practices. Then, they will practice techniques through role plays.
