This session will discuss issues such as maturation of renal function, criteria used for acute kidney injury diagnosis, unique vulnerabilities of the kidney in preterm infants to nephrotoxins (Baby NINJA), hypoxia and hypo-perfusion injury, and follow-up considerations for the primary care pediatrician.
