Inguinal hernias/hydroceles are the most common elective surgical problems managed by pediatric surgeons. However, differentiating between the two and deciding whether to operate or observe remain confusing. Similar questions arise for umbilical hernia and cryptorchidism. This session will address the physical exam and rationale for observing vs. operating.
