Unsubstantiated controversies about the legitimacy of an abuse head trauma (AHT) diagnosis frequently arise in the courtroom and can impact the safety of children. This session will review the multidisciplinary evaluation of AHT cases, identify the false legal controversies and medicolegal implications surrounding this diagnosis, and identify advocacy opportunities.
