This session will examine successful advocacy strategies opposing state efforts to weaken protections for transgender/gender-diverse youths and that criminalize treatment for these patients. Attendees will learn how to connect to state activities, communicate with lawmakers, balance patients’ needs/wants with the needs/wants of leadership and colleagues, and make a difference for youths and their families.
