Pediatric Hospitalist
Tufts Children's Hospital
Jana Leary is a Pediatric Hospitalist at the Floating Hospital for Children, and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She’s also wife to a wonderful husband and they have two amazing young children. Jana did her medical training and pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and then without initially pursuing fellowship training, she joined the PHM group at Tufts. She was one of three hospitalists to initially develop and staff a Tufts PHM division at a new community hospital affiliate. It was during her full-time clinical work at both that community site and the Tufts tertiary center, that she developed an interest in research, and therefore in 2016 she pursued and was awarded a TL1 research fellowship through the Tufts CTSI, during which she also obtained her Masters Degree in clinical and translational science. Her primary research interests include the care of medically complex children: improving hospital-to-home transitions and care coordination.
