This seminar will highlight opportunities to address historical factors contributing to health care inequities for children facing serious illness. Faculty will describe experiences of marginalized patients with serious illness and/or at the end of life and share communication skills to address social determinants of health. Faculty also will discuss use of palliative care constructs to advocate and care for these patients.
