Children’s is one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country, managing more than one million patient visits annually at three hospitals, Marcus Autism Center, the Center for Advanced Pediatrics and neighborhood locations. We collaborate with Emory University School of Medicine, Georgia Institute of Technology and other academic institutions to advance pediatric medicine and pursue answers to perplexing medical conditions. In 2021, our researchers conducted more than 390 clinical trials in pediatric disease, yielding more than 1,800 publications. To support these efforts, we received more than $100 million in extramural funding with $72.5 million from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to help make kids better today and healthier tomorrow.
