Founded in 1879, St. Louis Children’s Hospital serves children of Missouri, Illinois and across the world, providing a full range of pediatric services. As the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Children’s Hospital offers nationally recognized programs for training and research. The hospital has 402 licensed beds; 56-bed ICU beds, level IV 150-bed NICU and a 16-bed BMT unit as well as a ACS certified level 1 trauma center. The hospital receives about 275,000 patient visits while the school of medicine see about 150,000 patient visits per year.
