Play is more than just fun! It's the brain's favorite way to learn. Prescription for Play is a social impact program managed by the LEGO® Group, in collaboration with Community Health Center, Inc. and the Weitzman Institute, with funding from the LEGO® Foundation. It provides resources for health care providers to promote learning through play with the caregivers of their 18- to 36-month-old patients during routine well-child visits. Research shows that children learn best through play and that play serves a critical role in a child’s cognitive and physical development. Prescription for Play supplies healthcare providers with free materials, including DUPLO® brick kits, a virtual hub of resources and training, implementation tool kits, CME credits, technical assistance, enduring educational content and program support. For more information on Prescription for Play and to order your FREE kits, visit rx4play.org.
