Evaluation of Effectiveness of 38% Silver Diamine Fluoride With or Without Potassium Iodide in Indirect Pulp Capping of Young Permanent Molars Using Computed Tomography
Dental caries is considered the most frequent childhood chronic disease worldwide. Since it is crucial that vitality of the teeth is preserved, modern dental practice employs micro-invasive treatment approaches that arrest or reverse the caries process. The potential of silver diamine fluoride as a safe indirect pulp capping material is recently highlighted. In our study, clinical and radiographic assessment of the effectiveness of 38% silver diamine fluoride with and without potassium iodide when used in indirect pulp capping of young permanent molars was accomplished.
