This presentation will provide an overview of the proper sequence of treatment planning when coordinating orthodontic and surgical management of impacted central incisors, which commonly occur with supernumerary teeth. It will describe how to effectively utilize fixed appliances, such as a 2x4 in interceptive orthodontics, to achieve favorable function/esthetics.

Appropriately time and sequence the surgical and orthodontic management of impacted maxillary incisors.
Describe how to effectively utilize fixed appliances (e.g. 2x4) when managing these interceptive cases.
Apply basic principles of biomechanics to achieve favorable function/esthetics.
