Derrick C. Nelson, MD, DDS is a fourth-year resident in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry as well as Medical school at UNC - Chapel Hill. He is currently a General Surgery resident with UNC- Hospitals, NC. His areas of interest in OMS include Orthognathic, Craniofacial, Trauma, Dental Implants and Medical management. When not treating patients or working on a research project, Derrick enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
