Vanessa Hannick, MD is an attending physicain at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas and faculty for their Emergency Medicine Residency Program. She has previously served as Associate Program Director and Curriculum Director for the program. Dr. Hannick attended the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University. She is Active Duty Army and has previously deployed to Afghanistan and South Korea. She is passionate about battlefield medicine and serves as lead instructor and subject matter expert for the Medical Simulation and Training Center at Fort Hood teaching combat medics the latest techniques in point of injury care. Her other areas of interest include medical education and simulation and point of care ultrasound.
