Kenya was born and raised in a small town outside of Roanoke, VA in Botetourt County; born 4 days before Christmas on Dec. 21st. For the past 6 1/2 years, Kenya has worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Community Health & Outreach department at Carilion Clinic. Kenya graduated from James River High School and attended Winston Salem State University in North Carolina. While in college, Kenya volunteered at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where she was able to work with kids and young adults who had Sickle-Cell Anemia Disease. Kenya's passion and number one goal is to one day work with people who have Sickle-Cell Anemia Disease and help them navigate through life. Helping them to know and to learn that they themsleves have Sickle-Cell Anemia, but Sickle-Cell does NOT have them!
