Brandon Elder, MD FAAEM FAWM is an assistant professor and attending physician at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine. He completed medical school as well as his emergency medicine residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City. He spent his first three years of attendinghood with the University of Maryland Emergency Medicine Department in Baltimore, MD while his wife completed a hematology/oncology fellowship. He returned to his home program where he currently works as a nocturnist and co-sponsors the Wilderness Medicine Interest Group for the school of medicine.
Dr. Elder’s areas of interest are in wilderness and austere medicine, critical care, airway management, and bedside graduate medical education. He has completed the Wilderness Medical Society FAWM program and currently serves on their CME committee. In his free time, he enjoys spending time doing anything and everything outdoors with his wife, Simran, son, Rohan, daughter Reya, and his german shepherd Oswald.
