Christine Butts, MD FAAEM is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA, where she also serves as the Ultrasound Director. Dr. Butts received her Docorate of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine and completed her residency and ultrasound fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. She writes the monthly column "Speed of Sound" In Emergency Medicine News. Her clinical interests are all things ultrasound, especially how to use ultrasound to bridge gaps in underserved and under-resourced clinical environments. She loves traveling, reading, baking, and recently became the mom of a fiesty 7 month old boy.
