Dr. Propersi is a Clinical Assistant Professor in emergency medicine at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. He is passionate about speaking, medical education, and FOAMed. Dr. Propersi enjoys using the power of story to entertain, engage, and educate when lecturing. In 2021, he placed first in ACEP's new speaker competition and took home the coveted Drop the Mic Award.
With help from The AAEM's Speaker development program, ALiEM Faculty Incubator, and Saint Joe's longitudinal Clinical Educator Fellowship, he continues to refine his speaking skills under the guidance of renowned speakers, Dr. Joe Lex and Dr. Anand Swaminathan.
Dr. Propersi has spoken both regionally and nationally on various topics in emergency medicine. He is a regular contributor to the REBEL EM Blog. His blog posts and podcasts have also appeared on EM Over Easy and the ICE Blog. In addition, he was nominated for an institutional teaching award across 3 different academic years.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Propersi enjoys spending time with his wife and triplet daughters, reading, snowboarding, and fitness.
