The Geriatric Emergency Department Guidelines - A Difficult Standard to Meet, Should They be Called Guidelines?

The Geriatric Emergency Department Guidelines, published in 2014, have promulgated aspirational standards for Emergency Departments (EDs) in the United States (US). Unfortunately, the vast majority of EDs do not meet most of these standards. What are the current realistic resources and capabilities in US EDs for treating Geriatric ED patients?
