Three Ways To Not Diagnose An Aortic Dissection

Aortic dissection is a notoriously difficult condition to diagnose. This presentation uses 3 cases of “missed” aortic dissection to illustrate common cognitive errors and biases encountered while practicing Emergency Medicine. After identifying these biases we will discuss specific strategies which can be learned and implemented to minimize their impact on patient care.
