Protecting Our Patients: How a Grassroots Physician Effort Prevented NP Independent Practice in Indiana

A brief overview of the national trends for NP FPA, the two NP FPA bills proposed in the Indiana General Assembly in 2019, the Indiana State Medical Association response to these bills and the need for grassroots physician movement, how physicians outside of organized medicine connected with each other and came together for a common mission, tactics used in defeat of the bills, and how we have solidifying our efforts since the legislative session of 2019 to advance our mission.
