Sweet Little Adults: Pearls and Pitfalls in Pediatric DKA

Diagnosing and treating diabetic ketoacidosis is very algorithmic when managing adult patients and there are guidelines in place to make it very easy. However, when treating pediatric patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, there are some differences in the management that are important to prevent complications. The speaker will discuss some treatment differences when managing pediatric DKA patients in the emergency department.
