This engaging panel will feature three patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) along with their hematologist to provide their perspective on optimal care of the patient with SCD in the emergency department. They will discuss their experiences with life-threatening SCD complications as well as their encounters requiring management of sickle cell pain crisis in the emergency department. Your perspective on ‘optimal care ‘of sickle cell disease will be challenged when hearing from the patients themselves.
