This session will discuss the challenges of language barriers in the delivery of high-quality healthcare. Specifically, how language barriers can lead to delayed medical care and treatment which may ultimately lead to poor outcomes. The speaker will provide insight on how language barriers may also affect the quality of care as it compares to English-speaking patients, information regarding financial burdens and a section discussing ways to navigate and circumvent these issues within the department.
