This project explores the use of clinical informatics to develop unique reporting dashboards that allow for evaluating analgesic prescribing practices in our emergency department (ED).
Innovative technology that compiles accurate data to summarize analgesic utilization in the ED concisely can enhance pain management and promote safe prescribing practices in this important clinical setting. The use of information technology through informatics enables the transformation of clinical healthcare data into a clear systematic organization, such as visual reporting dashboards.
