The emergency department (ED) is frequently utilized by refugee communities for health care access because it minimizes barriers to care. This study is the first to evaluate our county ED’s outpatient women’s refugee clinic referral system. Our primary outcome is the percentage of refugee patients in the ED with women’s health concerns that received a referral to the women’s refugee clinic compared to a control group. Secondary outcome measures include percentage of successful follow-up visits in the clinic and utilization of the emergency department for women’s health concerns compared to a control group.
