The 5 Minute Goals of Care Discussion- Meaningful Conversations in Minutes

Goals of care discussions are essential to align the care we provide in the emergency department to patients' values. GOC discussions also prevent unwanted procedures, save money, prevent ICU admissions, and decrease hospital LOS- and they don't have to add to ED length of stay. This lecture will provide strategies on how to approach the bedside goals of care discussion, and to get it done in 5 minutes.
