Unauthorized Treatments for COVID-19: Adverse Effects and Management in the ED

The Covid-19 pandemic has opened up the opportunity for different therapies to be tried to help our patients. While some may be benign in approved doses for other ailments, others may cause harm if used indiscriminately. The ‘Unauthorized treatments’ for COVID-19: adverse effects and Management in Emergency Department’ session will cover the current issues of potential adverse events with an overdose of a handful of these agents. This elaborative session will include the classification of the COVID-19 unauthorized treatments, potential adverse events with an overdose of these COVID-19 therapies; and pearls and pitfalls with management.
