The principal investigator is Dr. Iryna Daline, a graduate of the advanced education program in Orofacial Pain at the University of Minnesota and a board-certified Orofacial Pain specialist. Currently, she is a 3rd-year Endodontics resident at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests are differential diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of endodontic and other orofacial pain conditions and their comorbidity. The present study is a part of her second Master’s thesis project, which she conducted under guidance of her stellar thesis mentoring committee that includes experts in both fields of orofacial pain and endodontics (Inna Tchivileva MD, MS; Gary Slade BDSc, DDPH, PhD; Ashraf Fouad DDS, MS and Donald Nixdorf, DDS, MS.)
