Dr. Langston D. Smith, received his DMD degree from the University of Kentucky in 1977. He joined the U.S. Navy following dental school, and served 30 years on active duty. He completed the navy fellowship in endodontics at Naval Dental Center, San Diego, CA. in 1983 and a residency in endodontics at Navy Postgraduate Dental School, Bethesda, MD. In 1989. Dr. Smith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists receiving certification in 1992. He is a member of the AAE and serves on the Education Affairs Committee. He is a past president of the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club. Following his retirement from the Navy, Dr. Smith served as Associate Professor and Chair, Endodontics Department, Howard University College of Dentistry, Washington, D.C. for 12 years retiring in 2019. Dr. Smith and his wife, Sandra Donnell-Smith reside in Silver Spring, MD and Sarasota, FL.
