Dr. Lavasani is a Board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist. She is a full time Associate Professor and the Director of Oral Radiology & Advanced Imaging at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, California. She received her specialty Certificate and Master’s degree in Dental Diagnostic Sciences from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, TX. She in an internationally recognized expert in the field of CBCT applications, navigation, and interpretation and has presented more than 150 national and international lectures, hands on courses and mini residency programs at the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), Harvard, UCLA, UPenn, UCSF, UOP, Loma Linda and other dental programs. Dr. Lavasani has written multiple book chapters and is the co-author of the first digital/interactive Oral Radiology textbook "Fundamentals of Oral Radiology". She is an associate editor for the Jounral of the Lebanese Dental Assciation and a distinguished reviewer for the OOOO. She has been involved in different avenues of organzied dentistry and is serving as a voting delegate at the California Dental Association, memeber of Board of directors at the Tri-count Dental society. She has served as a member of the organizing committee of the AAOMR/ICDMFR joint meeting and is actively involved in multiple standing committees at the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology.
