Dr. Leslie Malueg is a practicing Endodontist in a group multi location Endodontic practice in North Carolina. She received both her undergraduate degree in Dental Hygiene and her DMD degree from the University of Kentucky. After 4 years of practicing general dentistry, she found her niche in Endodontics. She completed her Endodontic Specialty training at the University of Iowa where she also co-authored her research publication on the study of External Apical Root Resorption.
With over 40 years in the dental profession and 27 years as a practicing endodontist, Dr. Malueg has practiced in a variety of practice models. Her experience ranges from practicing as a registered dental hygienist, practicing as a general dentist, practicing as an associate endodontist, and being founding partner of a successful group endodontic practice in Louisville, Kentucky. She is currently President of Piedmont Endodontics in North Carolina. Piedmont Endodontics is a group endodontic specialty practice with 5 locations, 7 Endodontists (soon to be 8), and this year, they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the practice that was the brainstorm of Dr Wayne Mohorn in 1971.
Dr.Malueg has enjoyed teaching at both the University of Louisville as a clinical associate professor and the University of Iowa as an undergraduate endodontic instructor during her residency and previously served as the President of the Kentucky Endodontics Association.
Dr. Malueg is married to John who is an engineering consultant for Resilience at Stantec Engineering. They have 3 children, and the youngest is currently in her 3rd year of dental school at UNC Chapel Hill.
