My name is Edmond Onwukwe, I'm Nigerian, and I love to read books; I love to learn, and I love to grow. My hobbies involve playing soccer, writing scripts, and watching film. Before my enrollment into Case Western’s Endodontic program, I was fortunate to study community health at the University of Maryland, College Park. I started my dental training at Herman Ostrow School of dentistry at USC and my general practice residency at UCLA harbor. During my time in California, I traveled to Mexico, Thailand, India, and outskirts of California to treat patients in impoverished areas. At USC I started a club called Mindfulness and Meditation where teachers coach students on how to manage their stress in a healthy way. The theme of my table clinic presentation was introduced to me by Dr. Rossoff. He did an excellent job in highlighting the most frequently identified adverse events in Endodontics. This struck me as a very important topic for multiple reasons. I was driven to do more research on this subject and present my findings. From the information gathered, I believe my findings will help every clinician create a protocol to identify threats and maintain a culture of safety for patients.
