Ana Martins is from Brazil and moved to the United States to pursue a Bachelor's degree at the University at Buffalo. She graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Medicinal Chemistry. In 2018 she was accepted as a DDS candidate at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, with expected graduation in May of 2022. She has previously participated in research projects at the Department of Neurology which resulted in a publication (Mapping of thalamic magnetic susceptibility in multiple sclerosis indicates decreasing iron with disease duration: A proposed mechanistic relationship between inflammation and oligodendrocyte vitality). Currently, she has been working on research at the Department of Periodontics and Endodontics under the predoctoral Summer Research Program at the University at Buffalo.
