LCDR Smith is a second year Endodontic Resident at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School. Originally from Honolulu, HI she completed her undergraduate education in Microbiology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2010. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Creighton University School of Dentistry in May of 2014 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Following graduation, she completed a one-year AEGD program in San Diego, CA. After her residency, LCDR Smith served three years overseas as a general dentist at Naval Branch Health Clinic Sasebo, Japan and two years at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA. During her tour with the Marines, LCDR Smith participated in multiple field exercises and earned her Fleet Marine Force insignia. LCDR Smith began her residency training at NPDS in July 2020.
