Root canal disinfection is still a challenge among clinicians. Many different disinfection protocols are being proposed with uncertain evidence behind them. Technological advances during the last decade have brought new irrigation solutions and delivery systems for disinfection of the root canal system. This lecture will address the main questions clinicians have and bring evidence-based answers to the most common controversies in endodontic disinfection.
