Contemporary Root End surgical revision provides an opportunity for correction of a refractory non-surgical endodontic treatment but may be hampered by site topography and limitations. Posterior locations with substantial cortical plates and adjacent sensitive structures have proved daunting to the most experienced surgeons, often resulting in alternative treatment planning. The Piezoelectric Surgical device has been in use by other dental specialty members for almost two decades and its use in MicroEndodontic surgical procedures is expanding. This presentation explores the genesis of its introduction and implementation into clinical practice, from basic concepts to CAD designed stent fabrication in a multimedia format.
