Program Overview
Hypophosphatasia is a systematic, inherited metabolic one disease characterized by low alkaline phosphatase activity that commonly is misdiagnosed due to its similarities with other musculoskeletal diseases.
In this program, we will cover: - The role of alkaline phosphatase in bone mineralization and maintaining calcium and phosphate homeostasis. - The metabolic bone disease hypophosphatasia and key signs and symptoms to evaluate for accurate diagnosis - Medical conditions that have overlapping presentations with hypophosphatasia, including patient case studies
