Uncontrolled Cushing’s syndrome leads to considerable morbidity, with patients experiencing cardiovascular comorbidities, obesity, psychiatric illness, and increased risk of mortality. This can have a significant impact on a patient’s quality of life. Available surgical and pharmacologic therapies for Cushing’s syndrome may not address the full spectrum of disease. As a result, patients continue to suffer from the devastating effects of this condition, potentially leading to treatment discontinuation.
This product theater, presented by Dr. Elena Christofides, MD, FACE, is dedicated to learning more about long-term management expectations in patients with Cushing’s syndrome and uncovering the full extent of disease. The program includes considerations about the treatment journey in Cushing’s syndrome, including the impact of uncontrolled disease, the latest recommendations from clinical guidelines, and considerations for personalizing therapy.
Dr. Christofides will discuss new treatment options available for patients with Cushing’s syndrome. The presentation also includes a hypothetical patient case to consider key management decisions in a patient with Cushing’s syndrome.
We hope you’ll join us for this thought-provoking product theater!
