We sought to measure the impact of a virtual symposium on clinicians’ knowledge and confidence related to GHD management in adults.
Methods:
For clinicians, a live-streamed virtual symposium was held as part of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) annual conference in May 2021. The virtual symposium was available to conference attendees/participants as well as the Medscape Education membership. Questions were asked before and after the symposium to assess changes in knowledge and confidence. Absolute improvements were calculated for pre/post questions. The enduring activity launched in June 2021.
Results:
Learners for live-streamed virtual symposium: 256Demographics:
Changes in knowledge after the symposium:
Changes in confidence after the symposium:
Dedication to improving care:
Enduring activity ongoing.
Discussion/Conclusion:
The metrics and outcomes gathered in this assessment are strong indicators virtual CME symposia are successful at improving knowledge and confidence related to GHD management in adults, and possibly promote improvements in clinical practice.
