Abstract: Medicare recipients that use Part C of Medicare called Medicare Advantage have increased by 300% in the past 16 years. This increase has cased clinics to see more patients that have "insurance" for hearing devices than ever before. These patients expect to obtain products and services though a private practice that are provided by their Medicare Advantage insurance program for either no cost or a small co-payment. While these programs are often beneficial for patients, they have become a financial disaster for practices. This session is a discussion of the third-party landscape, shares strategies for how to "manage managed care."
