Dr. Thomas is a Clinical Professor at the School of Health Professions at Hofstra University and the Long Island Audiology Consortium (Adelphi, Hofstra & St. John’s Universities). As Clinical Coordinator of Audiology he focuses on clinical instruction, community outreach, hearing conservation, pediatrics, hearing aid dispensing and student-leadership & development. He has served on the Political Advocacy Committee for the ADA, the ASHA Leadership and Professional Issues committee, ASHA Leadership-Mentoring Program in the past & ASHA Global Issues and Practices Committee in 2020. He served as chair of the Hearing, Balance, Tinnitus – Assessment & Intervention: Adults planning committee for ASHA 2021 national Convention. He has received honors from Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing-Association, ASHA, ADA, SAA & NSSLHA in the past. His prior experience includes NYC Private-Practice, management in Hospitals as Audiology supervisor/newborn-hearing manager and vestibular diagnostic centers. His areas of interests include vestibular-diagnosis/rehabilitation, electrophysiology, hearing-conservation, diversity in leadership & Audiology advocacy.
