Craig Buchman, MD is the Lindburg Professor and Head, Department of Otolaryngology at Washington University in St. Louis. He completed an internship, research fellowship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed a fellowship in neurotology at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.
Dr. Buchman’s lectured world-wide on cochlear implantation, electroacoustic stimulation, auditory neuropathy and auditory brainstem implantation. He currently chairs the William House Cochlear Implant Study Group and is the past chair of the Joint Committee on Infant Hearing (JCIH). He is past Chair of the Implantable Devices Committee of the AAO-HNS and a Founding Board Member and Chair of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACIA).
His research work has been supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Defense (DoD), as well as private foundations and industry partners. He holds a number of patents and has published more than 180 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
