Guangwei Zhou, Sc.D., is the Clinical Director of the Balance and Vestibular Program in Boston Children's Hospital at Waltham and Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology, Harvard Medical School. His clinical research includes evoked potentials in patients with inner ear structural anomalies and cochlear implants. He is also investigating etiologies of balance and vestibular dysfunction in children. He has published over two dozen peer-reviewed paper in the field of Otology and Audiology and is known for his work on vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP), pediatric video Head Impulse Testing(vHIT), semicircular canal dehiscence (SCD) and enlarged vestibular aqueduct (EVA), nationally and internationally. Prior to obtaining his Sc.D. in Audiology, Dr. Zhou attained medical degree from Beijing Medical University. He also completed his residency and research follow training in otolaryngology.
