Susan Taulia has been a practicing audiologist for over 25 years. She has worked in private practice for the past 12 years and before that was involved in University clinics at the University of Mississippi and Purdue University as well as ENT clinics at the Miami Ear Institute and ENT Associates of South Florida. She has been involved in establishing a hearing loop movement in the Lafayette, Indiana, area for the last 11 years. Dr. Taulia believes that hearing loops are the best way forward for improved public hearing through hearing aids and cochlear implants, until all device manufacturers are willing to adopt a universal system for patients to use to receive brodcast information. Given the current political climate, this change is unlikely to happen anytime soon and likely will not happen without legislative action.
