Jackie Davie, Ph.D. is a Professor of Audiology at Nova Southeastern University in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in Communication Disorders from Penn State University. She has worked clinically, academically and as a researcher. She was once a research assistant on an N.I.H. grant assessing the relationship between ear health and speech language and behavioral development. Clinically, she worked at the Univeristy of Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital. Now, she spends some of her time teaching Acoustics & Instrumentation, Psychoacoustics, Genetics of Hearing Impairment, and Diagnostics 2 (Immittance and OAEs). But mostly, you can find her in the clinic teaching students hearing assessment and rehabilitation techniques for pediatric and special needs populations. In her spare time, she serves as a Special Olympics of Florida clinical coordinator for the Healthy Athletes Healthy Hearing Program. Come volunteer with her at the Special Olympics USA Games this June at Walt Disney World!
