Abstract: This lecture will introduce the findings of MarkeTrak 11, HIA’s cross-sectional survey highlighting consumer beliefs, attitudes, and perceptions of hearing care. Given the expansion of hearing aid options currently available to consumers, ranging from the traditional model to the self-fit model, audiologists will garner in-depth data and insights from hearing device owners and non-owners that can benefit their professional practices.
Learning Objectives:
Apply the findings of MarkeTrak 11 (MT11) to clinical dispensing practice.
Outline the consumer’s decision points with regards to the traditional hearing care delivery model and the OTC model.
Translate consumers expectations of traditional and OTC delivery models into strategies to improve delivery of products and services.
